Stockton, Calif. - Playing their fourth match in five days, the Pacific women's tennis team fell to Big West foe Cal Poly by the score of 6-1 on Wednesday, March 28th at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
With the loss, the Tigers fall to 6-9 on the season, 1-3 in the Big West, while Cal Poly improved to 6-9, 3-3 in the Big West.
Cal Poly took the doubles point, giving them an early 1-0 advantage before they added to it by winning the No. 2 and No. 4 singles positions to take a 3-0 lead. Freshman Sasha Fisher (Southampton, Bermuda) pulled Pacific to within two points at 3-1 after posting a straight set 6-3, 6-3 victory over Devin Peek at No. 6 singles.
Cal Poly went on to win the last three matches to get to .500 in Big West play.
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, April 1st as they host UC Santa Barbara at 1:00pm at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts.
