Pacific Falls to No. 16 Fresno State 7-0

Fresno, Calif.: The Pacific women's tennis team fell to 8-13 on the season after suffering a 7-0 setback to No. 16 Fresno State (17-3) on Saturday, April 21st.

Pacific fought hard, but could not score any upsets against one of the nation's top teams. In doubles action, the Tigers No. 1 tandem of junior Helen Schneider (Dernbach, Germany) and sophomore Jolanta Twarowska (Hamburg, Germany) came close to taking down the No. 32 ranked doubles team in the land, the team of Melanie Gloria and Tinesta Rowe, but ended up falling 8-6.

In singles action, sophomore Clara Schuhmacher (Zaragoza, Spain) had a strong showing at No. 6 singles, falling 6-4, 6-4.

Pacific next travels south to the Big West Championships to face Cal State Northridge on April 27th
