Game Notes - at Fresno State

Pacific hits the road looking to get back on track after a tough series loss to SCU last weekend. The Tigers head to Fresno State on Tuesday to take on an old rival in the Bulldogs. Fresno State comes into the week 16-12 overall, but having fallen in five of their last six contests. The two teams split the season series last season with each team holding serve at home. Pacific won in Stockton, 11-4, while Fresno State won in Fresno, 4-3.

Last time out, the Tigers dropped a home WCC series to Santa Clara 2-1, falling in the first and last games of the weekend. Pacific dropped the first game of the weekend on Friday, 6-2, despite outhitting the Broncos. Game two saw sophomore Jake Jenkins throw a complete game shutout over the Broncos while picking up seven runs of support. The third game, Pacific fell in the ninth inning of a back-and-forth battle as SCU plated a single run in the final frame to win 7-6. Junior Jimmy Gosano had a career day with a 3-for-4 effort including his first Division I home run and 4 RBI.
