Davis, Calif. - A run of nine-straight goals enabled the No. 5 Pacific men's water polo team to seize control en route to a 14—4 win over Cal Baptist Friday at the Aggie Roundup.

Alex Obert scored four goals for Pacific, while Ben Stevenson added a hat trick. Krisztian Laczkovics and Ikko Saito each scored twice. Aleksandar Petrovic and Kale Ai also chipped in a goal each while Brady Moore posted 16 saves in the cage for Pacific.

The Tigers improve to 9-1 overall and have won 52 straight games against non-MPSF opponents.

The Tigers fell behind early as CBU's Clint Walling opened the scoring. Stevenson tied the game just 16 seconds later, the Lancers went back in front on a goal from Christopher Forte at the 1:22 mark. Pacific connected on just one of eight first quarter shots.

In the second quarter, David Ring stretched the CBU lead to 3-1, before Krisztian Laczkovics converted a 6-on-5 opportunity. Alex Obert knotted the game at 3-3 off a Laczkovics pass at the 5:38 mark to draw even.

Stevenson gave the Tigers their first lead of the game, scoring with 4:30 left in the quarter for a 4-3.  Ikko Saito tacked on a goal off an outlet pass from Moore as Pacific scored on four of seven shots in a four-goal run before the half.

In the third, Laczkovics posted his second goal and Obert struck for back-to-back goals. Saito and and Aleksandar Petrovic capped a 5-0 third quarter as the Tigers stretched the margin to 10-3.

Cal Baptist scored on three of the Lancers first nine shots, but Brady Moore held CBU without a goal on their next 15 possessions.

Forte ended the Tigers' shutout run at 17:36 to cut the Pacific lead to 10-4 with 5:22 remaining.

Obert posted his fourth goal and Stevenson added his third, for his sixth hat trick of the year, and 20th goal of the season. Kale Ai tacked on another late score to settle on the final score of 14-4.

Joseph Moorman recorded 12 saves in goal for the Lancers, who fall to 2-5 on the year.
