Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team swept George Washington, 4-0, Saturday afternoon at Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

Viktoriya Dzyuba ran her record to 10-1 on the year as the Tigers won their first ever match at their new tennis facility.

Dzyuba & Anneroos Nederstigt turned in a 6-2 win over Allison Hansen & Taylor Nederlander at first singles. Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz & Katie Dyson cruised over Sara Grubac & Victoria Kogan, 6-1, to take the doubles point.

In singles, Dzyuba posted a 6-0, 6-4 win over Teodora Radosavljevic at first singles, for her fifth straight win.

In second singles, Maayan Sela won in straight sets over Sara Grubac, 6-2, 6-4, for a 3-0 Pacific lead. Yuki Asami clinched the match for Pacific at sixth singles with a victory over Egle Jakuciunaite, 6-2, 6-4.

Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz, Dyson and Sabrina Rodriguez all had their singles matches go unfinished.

The Tigers improve to 6-6 on the year, while George Washington falls to 3-7.

"I couldn't have asked for a better start to our opening match at our new facility," head coach Charlotte Scatliffe. "The team wanted the win today and they made it happen purely with their effort and energy. We're excited for our WCC matches to resume and to battle it out and see where we're at in this competitive conference."

The Tigers will be back in action on Friday against Santa Clara at noon at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
