SPOKANE, Wash. - Pacific women's tennis finished the weekend at Gonzaga Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0 to the Bulldogs.
Gonzaga pulled ahead early winning the doubles point as Sophie Whittle and Graciela Rosas defeated Yuki Asami and Anna Ramos Vinolas, 6-0, while Anneroos Nederstigt and Christiana Ferrari fell to Alex Bourguignon and Kate Ketels, 7-5. Maayan Sela and Cristina Saenz de Buruaga Ruiz were tied at six-all when their match went unfinished.
In singles action, Nevada Appollo dispatched Sela in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2 while Ketels defeated Sabrina Rodriguez, 6-1, 6-2. Gonzaga earned the victory as Nederstigt dropped her match to Rosas, 6-4, 6-2.
Ramos Vinolas, Saenz de Buruga Ruiz, and Ferrari all had matches that went unfinsihed.
The Black and Orange fall to 5-13 overall and 0-8 in West Coast Conference play while Gonzaga improves to 15-2 overall and 6-1 in the WCC.
The Pacific women's tennis team plays their last regular season match at Saint Mary's next Saturday, with first serve scheduled for 11 a.m.
