Tigers Set to Close Out 2019 With Pair of Matches

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team enters its final week of the 2019 season this week with a pair of WCC matchups, first travelling south to San Diego for a Wednesday night tilt before returning to Knoles Field on Saturday night against Gonzaga on Senior Night. Both contests will kick off at 7:00 p.m. and be streamed live on The WCC Network.

Last Time Out
  • Pacific dropped a 3-0 decision to Portland last Friday night as Sigrid Aas accounted for three of the Tigers' four shots against the Pilots. 
  • Emily Counter earned her first collegiate start, logging 63 minutes against Portland. 
 
Keeping Things Fresh
  • Freshmen have accounted for six of the Tigers' 11 goals in 2019. 
  • The Tigers are also led in net by a pair of freshman goalkeepers in Brenna Crump and Weronika Baranowska. Baranowska has started and gone the distance in four of Pacific's seven conference matches and eight overall.

Series History
  • The Tigers are taking the pitch on Wednesday against San Diego for the 13th time with the Toreros holding a 12-1-0 advantage. Pacific's lone win in the series came on September 25, 2005 in a 1-0 victory in San Diego. 
  • Pacific goes toe to toe with Gonzaga also for the 13th time Saturday night with the Tigers leading the all time series 7-4-1. The Tigers last downed Gonzaga on October 9, 2015 in a 2-1 decision in Stockton.
