FRESNO, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer team fell to Fresno State, 4-2 Sunday night at the Bulldogs' Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium.
In Case You Missed It
- Fresno State was aggressive in their attack taking five shots and two corner kicks in the first 17 minutes before connecting for the first goal of the game at 20:55.
- Less than five minutes later, at 25:27, Ryanne Molenaar scored her first goal of the season off of a feed from Isabella Pariente.
- Over 10 minutes had passed before either team would get another shot off.
- At 37:59, Katelyn Chandler stole the ball from a Bulldog defender and gave the Tigers their second goal of the game after going one-on-one with the Fresno State goalie.
- Despite consecutive Fresno State corner kicks in the 42nd minute, the Tigers took their 2-1 advantage into halftime.
- Nearly 25 minutes in to second half play, Fresno State was able to even the score at 2-2.
- Following the Bulldogs' fifth corner kick, Pacific found themselves down once again (3-2)
- Just over five minutes later, Fresno State secured the victory with its fourth goal of the game.
Tiger Scores
Both Molenaar and Chandler scored their first goals fo the season. Molenaar, a freshman from Yorba Linda, Calif. scored on her only shot taken on the night. Senior forward, Chandler was two-for-two in shots on goal and scored her first game of the season.
