Tigers Roar Back for 5-2 Win at Nevada

RENO, Nev. - The Pacific women's tennis team (2-1) found themselves in an 0-2 hole, but pulled out the dual win in singles to down Nevada 5-2 Friday at the McArthur Tennis Center in Reno.

How it Happened:
  • Pacific dropped the doubles point despite Anna Ramos-Vinolas and Maya Lopez being up 5-4 in their doubles bout.
  • Klara Kosan battled against Nevada's Anastasia Luneva, going deep in sets two and three to claim the win on one and tie the match at two apiece.
  • Elise Frigout gave Pacific the 3-2 lead with another long match on three, battling for the 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Roos van Reek.
  • Zoe Eberle and Anna Ramos Vinolas followed with intense battles on four and six, respectively. Ramos Vinolas capped off the win with a gritty 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 decision on six.
What Coach Erwin Said:
"Proud of my squad's fight today. We overcame an 0-2 deficit and battled through some tough conditions. Zoe Eberle was down match points in the second set and found a way to get back in and win her match. Good day for the Tigers!"
