PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team took part in the ITA Northwest Regionals hosted by Stanford University over the last three days.

One of the top performances for the Tigers came in the invitational draw from Megan Carmichael, a freshman from the UK.

She started the tournament with a straight-set win by a 6-4, 6-0 margin over Daisy Maunupau of UC Davis. Her biggest win of the tournament came when she knocked off the No. 1 seed as she came back from a set down to defeat Ashley Chang of UW, 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-3). Her tournament ended with a 7-5, 7-5 loss to Hana Gamracy of USF. 

In the main draw of singles play, Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle and Danielle Zamora each won their opening round matches. Clydesdale-Eberle started her tournament with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Melissa LaMette of Cal Poly before dropping a 6-2, 6-1 decision in the round of 32 to the fourth seed Jessica Alsola of Cal.

Zamora was a 6-3, 6-2 winner in the first round before losing by a 6-1, 6-3 margin to Erin Richardson of Cal in the second round. 

In doubles play, the team of Klara Kosan and Ella LaRoy were 6-2 winners in the first round before losing in the round of 32 to Bente/LaMette of Cal Poly.

The Tigers will wrap up the fall portion of its schedule when they travel to the Santa Clara Invite, Nov. 5-7.
