STOCKTON, Calif. - For the third-straight match and the sixth time on the season, the Pacific volleyball team posted a straight-set win as they defeated Portland, 25-17, 25-18, 25-16 on Saturday at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

The Tigers (10-13, 7-5 WCC) were a balanced attack in the win as
Alexa Edwards nearly had a double double with 13 kills and 9 digs, setters
Jenna Heller and
Gabby Leo had 22 and 15 assists, respectively, plus
Darina Kumanova had six kills, five digs and two service aces.

The Pilots (5-16, 2-10 WCC) were paced by an eight-kill effort by Jayde Harris. Plus, Charity Bradley had six kills and a .429 hitting percentage in the loss.Â

Set 1
• The two teams exchanged the first eight points before four unanswered points by the host Tigers put Pacific ahead 8-4.
• Pacific went ahead on a service ace by
Sedona Sherman; a block by the tandem of
Kennedy Kaminsky and
Lucy Carpenter; a pair of kills by
Darina Kumanova.
• Portland cut the deficit to 10-8 before six-straight by the Tigers ended the comeback attempt by the visitors.Â

Lucy Carpenter paced the attack with five kills and a .500 hitting percentage to lead Pacific.Â

Gabby Leo and
Jenna Heller each had seven assists for the Tigers.
• 3-different players for Pacific had a service ace.
Set 2
• Pacific posted a match-high .400 clip in the second set as the two teams were tied on four occasions but the Tigers never trailed.
• With the set tied at 15, Pacific went ahead for the remainder of the set after a service error and ball handling error by the visitors to go along with a kill by Kumanova.
• The three-point spurt prompted a Portland timeout.

• The Tigers posted an 82% side out percentage en route to the set victory.
• Pacific opened the set with an early 5-1 lead and stretched the advantage to as much as 11-4.
