STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific volleyball team fell to Loyola Marymount, 25-18, 25-17, 25-13, in a West Coast Conference contest Thursday evening at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

Biamba Kabengele tallied a match-high 11 kills as the Tigers (13-11, 5-7) accumulated 29 throughout the match. Kabengele struck the ball well during the contest, recording a .364 hitting percentage and only committing three errors. The Burlington, Ontario native has tallied double-digit kills in four-straight matches and ranks seventh in the league with 148 conference kills.
Despite the Tigers winning four of the first five points to begin the match, the Lions (15-7, 10-3) embarked on a 10-1 run to take a commanding lead. Trailing 17-10 midway through the set, the Tigers made one last push to get back into the set, winning eight of the following 14 points to get within five, 23-18. The Lions, however, closed out the set shortly after, winning the final two points.
The Lions took control in the second and third sets to secure the straight-set victory.
Pacific returns to action at noon on Saturday, Nov. 5, as the Tigers host Pepperdine at the Alex G. Spanos Center.
