Tigers Open Season at Brown's Bruno Classic

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's water polo team opens its 2022 season at the Bruno Classic hosted by Brown over Labor Day weekend.

The Tigers, ranked fifth nationally and first in the GCC preseason polls, play five games over three days at the tournament.

The opening game for Pacific is against #13 California Baptist on September 3 at 6:15 a.m. PT / 9:15 a.m. ET. The Tigers hold a 10-0 record against the Lancers, including a 13-12 victory in 2021. Next on Saturday afternoon, the Tigers take on #20 St. Francis College Brooklyn at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET. The Tigers are 5-0 against the Terriers with the last contest in 2018. Watch the game live here: https://www.espn.com/watch/player?id=6987bd5f-a772-4fe1-9476-5221c801a4e8.

Pacific takes on #17 Fordham on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. PT / 1:15 p.m. ET. This will be the first meeting between the Tigers and the Rams. The live stream for that match can be found here: https://www.espn.com/espnplus/player/_/id/e9a9edca-203a-4403-83d9-db09f31af7a6.

Sunday afternoon sees a meeting between the Tigers and Wagner at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET. The last time the Tigers took on the Seahawks, Pacific won 22-6 in 2017. Catch the action live here: https://www.espn.com/espnplus/player/_/id/d4dd98d7-797a-4930-ad17-8a105aaa041d.

The Tigers close out the tournament by taking on the host team, #19 Brown, Monday at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET. Undefeated against the Bears, the Tigers hope to move to an 8-0 record. All six GCC teams will be in action on the opening weekend of the 2022 season, starting September 3.

Pacific kicks off GCC play on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Long Beach State, a rematch of the 2021 GCC championship game. The Tigers advanced to the GCC tournament title game, finished the 2021 season 10-12 overall, and tied with UC Santa Barbara for second in the GCC standings at 3-2.

The Tigers host #2 USC for their home opener on September 16 at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool.
