San Diego, Calif.- The Pacific men's tennis (1-5) team dropped a tough match against a strong San Diego (6-3) squad, 4-1.
The doubles matches were not in Pacific's favor today, dropping the first two sets and the last being an unfinished result.
The Tigers picked up a singles win with a solid performance from junior
Ran Amar. Amar defeated Sacchitt Sharrma (USD) 6-1, 6-4 in a dominating performance.Â
The Tigers had a chance to pick up more points against the Toreros, but San Diego kept the matches short. There were two unfinished singles matches. Redshirt Freshman
Terence Das won his first set, 6-4, then dropped the next set, 2-5. The second unfinished match was junior
Andre Rodeia dropping both sets 2-6, 4-5. The Toreros were able to hold off the Tigers with two set wins on courts 1, 5 and 6 to secure match point.Â
The Tigers are back home at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center this Friday, Feb. 17th, with the first serve at 1 p.m.
