Pacific Set to Host Cal Poly, then Travel to Face Saint Mary’s

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team (6-6, 1-3) looks to bounce back against Cal Poly (8-7, 3-2) and Saint Mary's (5-8, 1-3).

The Tigers faced two ranked teams last week, #3 Pepperdine and #62 Loyola Marymount.

Senior Klara Kosan and sophomore Karina Chao shined in their doubles match against Pepperdine, defeating the country's #1 ranked doubles pairing. One day later, Kosan and Chao defeated the #27 ranked doubles pairing to go 2-0 on the weekend. Due to their exceptional performances, the doubles duo was ranked the #32 doubles pairing in the country and was named the WCC Doubles Team of the Week.

Cal Poly is coming off a 4-2 win against the Santa Clara Broncos. The Mustangs are 4-3 on the road this season.

Saint Mary's is on a three-match losing streak, falling to USF, LMU, and Pepperdine. They are 3-2 at home this season.

The Tigers will host the Mustangs at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center this Friday, April 7, with the first serve at noon as a part of a doubleheader with the men's team. Pacific will then travel to Moraga, CA., to face the Gaels on Saturday, April 8. The first serve will be at 11 a.m.
