SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The Pacific women's cross country team completed the Master's University Invite, earning a 17th-place finish Saturday at Central Park.
The Tigers were the second finisher among WCC participants competing in the women's 6k course, collecting 448 points in the morning.
"We learned a lot from this race," head coach
Josh Jones said. "It was definitely a very crowded event, especially with it being our first time here. We'll take what we've learned and bring our best at the Bronco race."
Junior
Emily Wernli was the first Tiger to cross the finish line with a time of 23:37.60.
Sophomore
Valeria Espinoza followed Wernli a few moments later with a 24:09.60.
Senior Anahi Avila finished in the top half of the field with a time of 24:41.30. Senior
Elisabeth Garner was the next Tiger to cross after securing a 25:12.10.
The Tigers look ahead to their next race, which will take place in two weeks at the Bronco Invitational on Saturday, October 19.
