STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's basketball program turned in a strong second half Wednesday, but fell behind too far in an 89-70 outcome against Pepperdine at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

The Tigers (6-23, 0-14 WCC) trailed the Waves (12-17, 5-9 WCC) by 21 at the intermission and by 26 early in the second half when they found a bit of rhythm. Pacific outscored Pepperdine 39-32 over the last 15 minutes.

A career night came from junior
Cam Denson. He turned in a career-high 23 points and matched his career-high with 10 rebounds for his second double-double for the season. He was 10-of-14 from the floor as his 10 field goals made were also a career best.

Denson's efforts helped Pacific outscore Pepperdine 42-32 in the paint.

The Tigers also posted a positive turnover margin 10-8 and grabbed more steals than the Waves 7-5.

Denson was one of three Tigers in double-figures along with sophomore
Moe Odum and senior
Donovan Williams. Odum registered 15 points and three assists, while Williams tallied 13 points and five rebounds.

Pepperdine was guided by Michael Ajayi's 30 points and 17 rebounds. The Waves shot 30-of-60 (.500) from the floor in the game and 22-of-26 (.846) from the free throw line.

The Tigers will play their final home game of the season at 7 p.m. Saturday against Loyola Marymount. Pacific will honor five student-athletes in a special pre-game Senior Day ceremony including Blake, Brown, Denson,
Lesown Hallums, Jr. and Williams.

NOTES
- Pacific is now 43-36 all-time against Pepperdine 22-12 at home. The Tigers have won six of the last seven against the Waves at home.

- The Tigers moved to 804-451 all-time at home and 341-218 in the Spanos Center.

- Denson's 10 made field goals were the most by a Tiger in a game this season. He topped his previous career best of 22 points at San Francisco on Feb. 3. Denson's first double-double came against Cal State Fullerton as he notched 11 points and 10 rebounds on Dec. 20, 2023.

- Williams notched his 20th career double-figure scoring game, 14th this season and third in a row. He was coming off back-to-back 16-point outings against Santa Clara and Gonzaga last weekend on the road.

- Odum submitted his 15th career double-digit scoring performance and 10th this year. He committed just one turnover in the game after entering the night ranked third in the WCC in assist:turnover ratio with a 2.5 mark.

- Over the last three home games, Brown is 12-of-18 (.667) from the field and 9-of-13 (.692) from three-point range.
