SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- The Pacific beach volleyball team fell in both contests during its final day at Cal Poly after North Florida and UC Davis claimed their respective matches 5-0.
 
The Tigers opened the day with their first ever match against North Florida. After capturing a pairs win in their opening match against Santa Clara, junior Ashley Davies and sophomore Josephine Kinlan entered a back and forth from the twos against the Ospreys. Despite the effort in the opening set, North Florida took the match 21-19, 21-10.
 
The duo carried the same energy over to their match with UC Davis as they attempted to force a tiebreaker set. The Aggies staved off the mounting comeback, defeating Kinlan and Davies 21-16, 22-20.
 
Graduate student Jadyn Tubbs and senior Miranda Baptista traded leads in their opening set against North Florida, but the Ospreys kept them at arm's length, taking the match 21-18, 21-8.
 
The Tigers head back out on the road for a conference match with Saint Mary's at noon on Saturday, March 23.
