DAVIS, Calif. – Pacific track & field participated in the Aggie Open on Friday and Saturday at Woody Wilson Track.
Paving the way in throws was junior
Ella Leroy who placed 15
th in the shot put with an 11.43m throw. Junior
Natasha Dykman and freshman Nadia Garcia made their first appearances in their respective events. Dykman threw 27.66m to take 21
st in the discus throw. Garcia clinched 24
th in the hammer throw with 24.65m.
Freshman
Alondra Lopez and senior
Anahi Avila Perez both placed 18
th on the track. Lopez ran a time of 1:09.12 in the 400m while Perez registered 20:06.64 in the 5000m. Freshman
Gianna Solano set a personal best time of 2:29.26 to clinch 30
th in the 800m.
In the mile, sophomore
Emily Wernli (21
st, 5:24.90 PR), junior
Sophia Livingston (22
nd, 5:25.16 PR) and senior
Sophie Pazzo (23
rd, 5:25.95) finish in the top 30. In addition to Wernli and Livingston, juniors
Dalee Higgins (5:35.91) and
Elisabeth Garner (5:46.13) also set personal records in the event.
Up next, Pacific heads to Sacramento State to compete at the Hornet Invitational on Mar. 15 and 16.
