STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific beach volleyball team faced its third ranked opponent in a row, hosting No. 12 Washington for a doubleheader in Stockton. The Tigers pushed the Huskies in multiple sets, but dropped both contests 5-0.
 
Senior Juliana Alexander and freshman Mia Rossman kept in rhythm through their second set at threes, pulling within one before the Huskies took the match 21-9, 21-10. 
 
Senior Camdyn Albrecht and sophomore Kelea Saxton Vaka went up 5-2 in their first set at ones, but fell 21-15. They brought the same energy in their second set, opening it up 2-1 behind an ace from Vaka before trading scores with Washington. After tying it 9-9, the Huskies took over the lead fully and claimed the second set 21-16.
 
In match two, senior Miranda Baptista and graduate student Jadyn Tubbs jumped out to a 7-6 lead in their first set. They climbed up to 17-14 before the Huskies went on a 7-2 run to take the first set 21-19. The pair rebounded by leaping out to another lead to start set two 12-9. After tying it 21-21, the Huskies grabbed the final two points and took the match 21-19, 23-21.
 
Vaka and Albrecht returned fiery for their second match, chipping at Washington's early lead before falling in the first set 21-13. They rattled off a 8-5 start in the second set before it was tied 19 all. The Huskies iced the match by taking the second set at ones 21-19.
 
The Tigers return on Friday, April 19 through Saturday, April 20 as they host their home season finale tournament at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts.
