Tigers Hold Beach Tournament for Regular Season Finale

STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific beach volleyball team welcomes CSU Bakersfield, Saint Mary's, Santa Clara and San Francisco to the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts for a home tournament season finale starting Friday, April 19 to Saturday, April 20. The Tigers celebrate their four seniors on Saturday prior to their match against Santa Clara at 4 p.m.
 
The Tigers faced a string of ranked opponents over the last two weeks, traveling to Stanford to visit the Cardinal and Arizona before hosting Washington for a midweek home doubleheader. They pushed each team in multiple sets but all three foes grabbed victories over the Tigers.
 
Pacific revisits CSU Bakersfield for the second time this season, last seeing the Roadrunners in Santa Cruz for the Big West/WCC Challenge. The Tigers were able to get a set away from Bakersfield, led behind senior Camdyn Albrecht and ones partner sophomore Kelea Saxton Vaka. The duo clinched the 21-12, 21-16 win in the 4-1 loss to the Roadrunners.
 
To close out the season, the Tigers host two matches for their Senior Day. They meet Saint Mary's on Saturday morning, having last seen the Gaels in Moraga at the end of March. The final match of the day is a rematch with Santa Clara, where prior to, the Tigers will recognize their four graduating seniors. The two teams haven't met since mid-March. In San Luis Obispo, sophomore Josephine Kinlan and junior Ashley Davies got a set from twos after defeating the Broncos 13-21, 21-19, 15-11.
 
The Tigers travel to Santa Monica for the WCC Championship held on Thursday, April 25 to Friday, April 26.
