STOCKTON, Calif.- The No. 48 Pacific men's tennis team holds its final match of its regular season, welcoming No. 41 Pepperdine to the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center for Match Day Madness on Sunday, April 21 at 2 p.m. The Tigers are 8-0 at home on the season and look to close out the year undefeated at home.
Prior to the start of the match, the Tigers hold their Senior Day celebration. At the conclusion, the team will be available for an autograph signing. A food truck and beer garden (for those 21 and older) are available for those in attendance along with lawn games for a day full of Match Madness Day fun.
The Tigers return home for the first time in two weeks, having played their last four matches out on the road. The team went 2-2 in that time span with wins over Cal Poly and Saint Mary's.
Senior
Peter Alam leads the Tigers with a 12-2 singles record this season. He is undefeated at home, holding a 6-0 record in his completed singles matches. He is 9-3 in doubles alongside partner junior
Justas Trainauskas.
Senior
Andre Rodeia moved to a 11-5 record after winning his last two singles matches. With a win in Spokane, the senior is 3-1 from court five. Sophomore
Terence Das is 12-3 in singles after capturing a win over the Bulldogs. He is undefeated from court three with a 5-0 record.
The Tigers are 2-6 against the Waves since returning to the West Coast Conference in 2013. They hold a 2-2 record in Stockton, last defeating the Waves 4-2 at home in 2018. Pepperdine has won the last three match ups, including the 4-1 win in Malibu a year ago.
The Waves are currently enjoying a five match winning streak after their loss to San Diego. They are 6-1 in conference matches while holding a 5-4 record on the road. Pepperdine is 4-7 in ranked match ups this season.
Pacific concludes a historic season hosting a crucial match against Pepperdine before the Tigers journey to the WCC Tournament next weekend.
