STOCKTON, Calif. – Wearing Military Appreciation Night-themed uniforms, the Pacific baseball team exploded with an outburst at the plate, scoring a season-high of runs in an 11-1 victory over CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday night at Klein Family Field.
The Tigers (6-26, 1-8 WCC) hit a season-high four home runs in a game, ousting the Roadrunners (10-22, 5-7 Big West) in seven innings.
"We've been trying to get our bats going and we swung a hot bat tonight," Pacific head coach
Chris Rodriguez said. "Hopefully, this is a sign to come. We will use this as some fuel to spark the offense."

Kaden Petersen, freshman

Sophomore
Caden Casagrande picked up his first career win in his first start of the season, pitching 2.0 innings and allowing just one run on two hits.
The Roadrunners scored the game's opening run in the top of the first inning on a bases-loaded walk, but the Tigers responded with a three-run spot in the bottom of the first inning, taking command of a 3-1 lead.
Back-to-back home runs by Metcho and Petersen extended the Tigers lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth. The last time the Tigers hit back-to-back home runs was March 25, 2023, against Portland.
"It was really fun," Petersen said. "I saw Jack hit his and it was a no-doubter. I went up there and hit one in the same spot. It was a really cool experience. The one-two punch is real."
Camacho and Sloan's home runs highlighted a six-run bottom of the fifth inning for the Tigers, settling with 11 unanswered runs to result in the final score of 11-1.
Pacific hits the road for a non-conference three-game series at Kansas, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday.
