SPRINGFIELD - The Pacific men's soccer team hits the road for the first time in 2024 when it faces Missouri State on Monday at 5 p.m. at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium.
The game between Pacific (1-0) and Missouri State (0-1) will not be streamed.
The Tigers opened the 2024 season last Thursday with a 1-0 victory over UC Davis at Knoles Field.
"Coming off a good win to start the season, we are looking forward to a tough test across the country," Pacific head coach
Adam Reeves said. "Missouri State is a good playing team. We will have to be sharper in many aspects of the game in which we try to exploit. Our back line was very good organizationally on Thursday and will need to be again."
Junior
Jose Maria Barrera scored the Tigers' first goal of the season in the 51st minute on opening night. Senior
Joshua Moya earned his third career clean sheet and collected a career-high 10 saves in the 1-0 win over the Aggies. Moya's 10 saves are more than any West Coast Conference goalkeeper after one game this season.
Missouri State is coming off back-to-back 12-win seasons under head coach Michael Seabolt, who enters his third season at the helm of the program. The Bears dropped their season opener at UC Santa Barbara last Thursday, 3-1.
The Tigers and Bears will meet for the first time in program history on Monday night. The most recent WCC team Missouri State played was Santa Clara on the road to begin the 2019 season, winning 1-0.
