STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a spirited match, 3-0, against UC Davis on Sunday afternoon at Knoles Field.
The Tigers (1-2) pressed early, but ultimately could not overcome a three-goal first half by the Aggies (3-1).
"Disappointing result, no doubt about it," Pacific co-head coach
J.J. Wozniak said. "The quick turnaround to play again this coming Thursday night helps, as we all want to get back on the field as quickly as possible to put in a complete and quality performance."
A brace by UC Davis' Sam Tristan in the span of two minutes presented the Aggies a 2-0 lead at the 12-minute mark. UC Davis added a third goal in the 26th minute to go up, 3-0.
Pacific got opportunities in the second half, notably a shot on goal each by fifth year
Laila Saravia and senior
Audrey Fuchs.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Libby Davy totaled four saves in the effort defensively.
The Tigers look to bounce back, hosting New Mexico State on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Knoles Field.
