Biography
2014 (Freshman):
Saw action in the Tigers'' three exhibition games against West Valley, Orange Coast and Golden West on Sept. 13.
2013 (Redshirt Freshman):
Trenk redshirted the 2013 season.
2012 (Freshman):
Trenk saw limited action in his first year at Pacific. He finished the year with two goals, scoring once in each of the Tigers'' wins over Redlands and Cal Lutheran, both at the Aggie Shootout.
High School: Trenk prepped at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, earning three varsity letters in water polo for the Knights. As a sophomore, he broke the school record for most goals in a season with 174. A year later, he became his school''s all-time leading scorer with 265 career goals. An All-Mission League pick in 2010 and 2011, Trenk also served as his squad''s captain for two seasons. Outside of the pool, Trenk was his school''s senior class president.
International:
Trenk was a member of the U.S. National Team that participated in the 12th Pan-American Maccabiah Games in December 2011. He helped the squad to a runner-up finish.
Club:
Trenk was a four-year member of the Rose Bowl Water Polo Club, earning MVP honors at the Left Coast Mikasa International tournament. He led his 16-U team to a second-place finish at the club championships in 2010 before taking fourth on the 18-U squad in 2012.
Personal:
Trenk was born in Granada Hills, Calif., and is the son of Joseph and Dinah Trenk. He has two older brothers, RJ and Alex. An exploratory major with an emphasis in natural sciences, Trenk hopes to become a neurosurgeon.
