Sacramento, Calif.-The Tigers traveled to Sacramento to battle against the Sacramento State Hornets. In the doubles events, the Tigers kicked started the match by picking up two of the three doubles events and moving on into the singles events with a point in favor of the Tigers.
In the singles events, the Tigers went on to pick up four of the six singles matches. Freshman standout Sem Verbeek had another victory. This straight set victory was against Aliaksandr Malko with a final score of 6-4, 6-2. Sophomore Denis Stolyarov made his debut in the No. 3 and defeated Sean Kolar in a brutal battle which resulted in a final score of 6-4, 7-6(7-0). Stolyarov's match was also the victory that clinched the victory for the Tigers. Another close match that proved to be a three set battle of strategy and stamina featured Ben Mirkin in the No. 4 position against Roy Brandys. The final score of Mikrin's match was 7-5, 2-6, 7-5. Freshman Daniel Alameh also posted a straight set victory against Niranhan Ram 6-4, 6-3.
The Tigers have now improved their season score to 6-4.
