Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Brigham Young on Friday, March 21 at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts. The Tigers dropped to 7-8 and 1-2 in West Coast Conference play, while BYU improved to 7-9 and 1-0 in WCC play.
"We came out strong but a couple guys casually let the Cougars back in the match," said Pacific Head Coach Ryan Redondo. "They out fought us and that brings us back to the drawing board of learning to close out sets."
Pacific swept all three doubles matches, while Miguel Diaz and Denis Stolyarov picked up singles wins.
The Tigers are next in action with a road match at Gonzaga on Thursday, March 21 at 3:30 p.m.
