Stockton, Calif. – The Pacific men's tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision at home to UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, April 12. The Tigers fell to 8-15 overall. The Gauchos improved to 11-8.
The Gauchos took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Miguel Diaz, Jose Chamba and Marlon Brand won singles matches for the Tigers, but it was Cody Rakela's 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 win over Daniel Alameh that sealed the win for UCSB. On Senior Day, it was the final home match for Marlon Brand and Alex Hamilton.
The Tigers are next in action with their final West Coast Conference matches of the regular season on April 17 and 18 and Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount.
