STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of the Pacific women's soccer team will conclude its first weekend of the fall 2021 season with a contest against the UC Santa Barbara on Sunday at noon at Knoles Field. The Tigers are coming off a 1-0 win on Friday night against Nevada; whereas the Gauchos come to Stockton with an 0-1 mark after a season-opening 2-0 loss to Iowa State.

Party Like It's 2011
The season-opening win by the Tigers was the program's first since 2011 and it marked the first win for co-head coaches
Danesha Adams and
J.J. Wozniak. The win over Nevada is the first against the Wolf Pack since a 3-0 win on August 19, 2011.
Firing Squad
The 16 shots against the Wolf Pack were the most by a Pacific squad since a 20-shot effort, last spring against San Diego (April 20, 2021). Nine players were credited with a shot in the win, including three each by
Jenae Packard (Brentwood, Calif.) and
Haleigh Wynne (Canyon Lake, Calif.).
Experience
The UOP team return seven players who played and started all 12 games for the fall 2021 schedule. Of a possible 1,140 minutes – all seven logged over 950 minutes of action on the pitch.
Next Game
The next contests for the Tigers will be its first road contest of the season when they travel to the Gem State for the Boise State Tournament. In Boise, Pacific will face North Dakota State on Thursday, August 26
th at 2 p.m. and the host Broncos on Sunday, August 29
th at noon.
