STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific volleyball team (13-8, 5-4 WCC) returns to action to host Loyola Marymount (15-5, 8-2 WCC) on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Alex G. Spanos Center at noon. The Tigers had a few days off to recuperate and refocus on their rematch with the Lions, after splitting their matches with Saint Mary's and Santa Clara last week.

Pacific last saw action last Saturday as they got the 3-1 edge over Santa Clara on the road after dominating their final two sets. The Tigers were led by fifth year senior

Alexa Edwards as they combined for 34 kills on the day. Junior
Jenna Heller went for 49 assists through four sets, nearly reaching her season-high (51) in a match. Senior
Ramonni Cook went for a season high 11 kills, hitting a team leading .526 on 19 attempts and one error.

The Tigers return to action as they revisit LMU for their second match this season. They last saw the Lions earlier this month on their tour of Southern California. After jumping out to the 2-0 set advantage, the Tigers dropped the final three sets to LMU, and the Lions got the 3-2 win at home.

LMU junior Jacquelyn Moore leads the team with 89 blocks, averaging 1.27 blocks/set, which ranks her second in the conference. She adds 182 kills to the Lions offense, while hitting .448, a percentage that leads the conference. Senior Sam Hastings leads the team in digs, collecting 286 on the season as she averages 4.03 digs/s.

Senior Kari Geissberger leads the team in kills, capturing 202 so far this year. Senior Isabella Bareford elevates the Lions offense with 425 assists on the season, averaging 5.99 assists/s, which ranks her seventh in the conference.

While the Lions currently lead the series since Pacific rejoined the WCC, the Tigers hold the 5-4 edge at home. They last beat the Lions at the Alex G. Spanos Center in 2018, where they swept LMU 3-0. The Tigers most recently downed LMU on the road in 2021, where Pacific captured the 3-1 victory.Â

Kabengele leads the team with 294 kills, averaging 3.72 kills/s and 28 service aces. Edwards adds 254 kills of her own and 21 service aces. Heller paves way for the Tigers offense, with 614 assists on the season. She ranks second on the team in digs, collecting 207 digs so far this year. Junior
Megan Nishimura paces the Tigers with 276 digs, while averaging 3.58 digs/s. Sophomore
Emily Van Groningen adds a team-leading 67 blocks to the Tigers' defensive efforts.
