FRESNO, Calif. – Pacific women's track and field competed at the Fresno State Invitational on Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Sophomore
Emily Wernli set the 10th school record of the season in the 1500m. The Brea, Calif. native claimed second overall on a personal best time of 4:45.32.
Five other Tigers also registered PRs or top 10 section finishes in the 1500m. Junior
Sophia Livingston won her section and placed 10th overall at 4:53.46. Freshman
Cathrine Groenbech (17th overall) and junior
Elisabeth Garner (28th overall) posted sixth in their sections at times of 5:00.44 and 5:07.48. Senior
Sophie Pazzo notched seventh in section and 18th overall at 5:00.48. Freshman Alexa Meyers earned a personal best time of 5:35.59 while placing 36th overall.
Freshmen
Gianna Solano and
Alondra Lopez registered top three section performances in the 400m. Solano recorded second and 16th overall at 1:01.75. Lopez placed third and 21st overall at 1:06.59.
Junior
Ella Leroy made a 33.65m throw to claim 10th in section and 25th overall in javelin.
In the 5000m, freshman
Valeria Espinoza crossed the finish line in eighth on a personal best time of 19:30.05.
This marks the last meet of the 2024 Pacific women's track and field season.
