FRESNO, Calif. – The Pacific men's and women's swimming teams are headed to Fresno State on Friday, Oct. 21, for a dual meet with the Bulldogs and the Sunbirds of Fresno Pacific.
The women's team will take on Fresno State and Fresno Pacific, while the men's team will face Fresno Pacific.
"I am looking forward to seeing how both teams race this Friday as we are wrapping up another two weeks of training since our last meet," said Head Coach Katelyne Herrington. "Fresno State is fast and we'll need to win or split as many races as we can to be in the mix."
The men's team is 1-0 in its season after defeating Simon Fraser at the Pacific Invite, 206-107.
"We are not traveling all our men to this meet, so we'll be weaker in some events and will need our guys to step up to fill those gaps," said Herrington.
The women's team is 2-1 on the season after defeating Cal State East Bay in the season opener 167-95 and Simon Fraser at the Pacific Invite 162-153. The Tigers last faced the Bulldogs in 2019 and fell 201-90.
The Tigers last faced the Sunbirds in 2019 when they were victorious 175-103.
The meet starts at 4 p.m. and will be live-streamed here: https://gobulldogs.com/sports/2016/6/8/videos. Live stats for the event can be found on the Meet Mobile App.
