Tigers Travel to Play Two Ranked Opponents

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Tigers head east for the season's longest road trip. Pacific will play against #25 Xavier and #8 Marshall.

Yazid Omri scored his first goal of the season in a draw against Sacramento State on Sunday. Ryan Her leads the team with three goals. Her is halfway to his career high in goals with 13 games remaining. Derick Roque leads the team with three assists. Abdullahi Mohamed and Omri are the only Tigers with a goal and an assist this season.

"We are looking forward to playing two quality out-of-region opponents in Xavier and Marshall," said Head Coach Adam Reeves. "They have both built exceptional programs, and we will be tested. Although we are missing a couple of essential pieces, we are looking forward to the return of Emory, who is an important piece of our backline. In addition, we are also looking forward to Emmanuel's Pacific debut. Most importantly, we are building a group capable of competing for a conference championship, and these games are critical for that."

Xavier is off to an undefeated start to the season, scoring six goals while holding opponents to just one through four games. The Musketeers are ranked for the first time since September 2019. Xavier's goalkeeper has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll twice in two weeks while having a goals-against average of 0.25. Xavier returns four of its top five point leaders from last season while adding 18 newcomers to the roster.

Marshall is on a two-game win streak, including a 2-1 win at home over #2 Pittsburgh last week. Matthew Bell scored both goals for The Herd in the win. Marshall went 11-4-3 last season before losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Marshall is just two seasons removed from winning the National Championship, a 1-0 overtime win over #3 Indiana. The Herd also defeated #1 Clemson during the championship run.
