STOCKTON, Calif.—Pacific men's soccer (4-3-3, 0-1 WCC) seeks its first West Coast Conference win as it welcomes Loyola Marymount (5-1-4, 1-0 WCC) for a 7 p.m. contest on Saturday. The game also marks Family/Alumni Association and YMCA Night.
The Tigers fell at No. 7 Portland by a score of 4-0 this past Saturday. Pacific saw eight players combine for nine shots with fifth-year senior

Derick Roque leads the Tigers in scoring with 15 points on seven goals and one assist. He is ranked second in goals (18th nationally) and third in points (30th nationally) in the WCC. The Southgate, Calif., native is also third in the league in goals per game (0.7, 28th nationally) and points per game (1.5, 39th nationally). Roque earned his first Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 18.
Moya has started in eight contests in the net for Pacific. The Gilroy, Calif., native has collected 25 saves (4th best in the WCC) and made five stops in three games. Moya earned his first two shutouts in a Pacific uniform against UC Riverside (8/31) and Houston Christian (9/23).
LMU has a 5-4-0 advantage against Pacific in the all-time series. In the last meeting in 2022, the Lions defeated the Tigers, 1-0, at Sullivan Field.
Pacific won three straight contests over LMU from 2016 to 2018. The Tigers' last win against the Lions came in 2021 on a 1-0 shutout at Knoles Field.
LMU was picked to finish third in the WCC Preseason Poll. The Lions are led by Ryan Kingsford who has scored nine points on three goals and three assists this season. He ranks in the top 10 in the conference in points (8th) and assists (10th). Kingsford is 86th in the country with 1.1 points per game.
Goalkeeper Massimo Oedekoven Pomponi leads the Lions with 36 saves, which ranks second in the league and 33rd nationally. He is averaging 3.6 stops per game (2nd best int the WCC), which is also ranked 59th in the country. Oedekoven Pomponi was selected Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 25.
Both Pacific and LMU played UC Davis and Sacramento State. The Lions tied the Aggies on a 1-1 draw and defeated the Hornets, 2-1. The Tigers had a 1-0 shutout against UC Davis while losing to Sacramento State, 5-2.
Next week, Pacific hosts California at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 during Homecoming and Family Weekend.
